AREA OBITUARIES -- MARY ROYSTER

Ms. Mary Lee Pannell Royster, age 77, of Dresden, Tenn. passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at her residence. She was born in McConnell, Tenn. on June 18, 1947, to the late Andrew James Pannell and Edith Laverne Edington Pannell.

Mary lived all her life in this area and worked as a CNA for Martin Healthcare. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Union City, Tenn.

She is survived by one daughter; Leonia Varner of Dresden, Tenn., two sons; Ricky Stephson of Millington, Tenn. and Michael Varner; four granddaughters and five grandsons, five great-granddaughters and six great-grandsons; three brothers; Steve Pannell Sr. of South Fulton, Charles Wayne (Darlene) Pannell of South Fulton,  Floyd (Donna) Pannell of Martin, Tenn.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son; Jamie Stephson and one daughter Mary Jane Jones, one sister; Dorothy Dowdy and one brother; James Franklin Pannell.

Funeral Services for Ms. Mary Lee Pannell Royster will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel from 12 noon until the hour of service.

Memorials can be made to the Funeral Service Fund on Mary Lee Pannell Royster to the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel.
