Rolling Work Zone scheduled on I-69 in Fulton, Hickman, and Graves Counties beginning June 3

June 02, 2025

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to implement a daytime, rolling work zone along Interstate 69 (formerly the Purchase Parkway) in Fulton, Hickman and Graves counties starting Tues., June 3.
The work zone will extend from mile point 1.84 (between I-69 Exits 1 and 2) in Fulton County to mile point 20.3 (approximately one mile south of I-69 Exit 21) in Graves County.
Crews will be placing temporary traffic striping and removing existing center- and edge-line reflective striping in both directions.
Motorists should be alert for signage and trucks with arrow boards guiding traffic to shift into the open lane, as crews alternate between lanes. A reduced speed limit of 55 mph will be in effect in the work zone.
Use caution where workers and equipment are along the roadway near traffic flow.
This is part of a $9.2 million micro-paving project along sections of Interstates 24 and 69 in KYTC District 1.
Strawser Construction is the primary contractor.
The overall project is expected to be completed by September 30, 2025.
District 1 will continue to share updates as the project progresses.
