Juvenile from Fulton arrested for involvement in shooting at Mayfield/Graves County football game

A 14-year-old male from Fulton, Ky., has been arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree after being involved in a shooting incident last Friday night in Mayfield during the fourth quarter of the "Battle of the Birds" high school football game.  The suspect shot 18-year-old Jordan Riley from Farmington, Ky.  The victim suffered a serious gunshot wound to his arm and upper torso, and was subsequently airlifted to an out-of-state hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. 
 
The investigation revealed that the shooting occurred following a physical altercation between the victim and another juvenile, during which the suspect discharged his weapon.  The 14-year-old shooter has been charged, and is now being held at a juvenile detention center.  The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information, or witnesses to the incident, to contact the Mayfield Police Department.
