Gas service being restored in Hickman

Gas service is being restored in Hickman following damage to a marked gas line by a state contractor.
The restoration process will be completed in accordance with Kentucky Public Service Commission guidelines and required safety procedures to help prevent further issues or delays in returning service.
A responsible person MUST be present at each address when gas service is turned back on. Please make arrangements to have someone at your residence or property when service is scheduled to be restored.
DO NOT attempt to turn your gas service back on yourself. The system must be properly purged, inspected, and safely restored by qualified personnel. Attempting to turn the gas on yourself is illegal utility tampering and could result in serious injury or harm to you and others.
The City of Hickman has recruited additional assistance from other certified gas agencies to help complete the restoration process as quickly and safely as possible.
We understand the inconvenience this situation has caused and sincerely appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work to safely restore gas service to everyone affected.
